About the work
About the Council of Scripture
Dennis Hardy spent decades in the Word — studying Scripture, tracing biblical prophecy, exploring history and archaeology, learning the biblical languages, and developing the principles needed to interpret it all faithfully.
After all of the research and study, after all of the prayers for direction, after all of the long hours building and writing, there was only one thing left that had to be done: put it into their hands.
The Council of Scripture was born out of that calling.
The work
Tools of Biblical Understanding
The work is simple in aim, though deep in practice: get the tools of biblical understanding into ordinary hands. Not to hand people conclusions, but to teach them how to reach their own — through careful reading, honest reasoning, and a willingness to let Scripture speak for itself.
We hold that the Bible is its own best interpreter, and that sound doctrine is built not on isolated verses but on the witness of the whole counsel of God.
Framework
Nomomartyria
Out of that same conviction grew Nomomartyria — a Christ-centered interpretive framework rooted in the biblical joining of the Commandments of God and the Testimony of Jesus.
It is not a new theology. It is a consistent path back to the one that has always been there.
Destination
The Word, Christ, and the Gospel
Everything here points toward the same destination: knowing the Word of God, knowing Jesus Christ, and grasping the full scope of the gospel — not just its surface, but its structure, its unity, and its beauty.
